In the northen extreme of Chile, the human remainings dates back to 10000 bc. From 6.000 bc. A coastal cultural group start to appear, leaving us the oldest mummification process know to men The Chinchorro Culture mummies the oldest on earth. Our trip take us to know this unique remainings along others such as the Inca trail, aroad web used by the Inca runners or “chasquis” . We will esperience the magic of the contac with the inhabitant of the highlands and their legends, like the Payachatas one, and the majestic of the andean landscapes. And all crowned by the guarding presence of the summits of the andean volcanoes and mountains and the Lauca National Park declared patrimony of the Humankind by the UNESCO.During our trip we will take short treks to get a deep knowledge of the andino man cosmovision, ancient, traditional, and precious.
Day 1 : Visit to the archaelogical museum of San Miguel de Azapa to know the Chinchorro culture mummies, the oldest in the world. 1 hour trek in the Atacama desert, the driest on earth. Box lunch in Ticnamar. Afternoon arrival to the andino community of Belen at 3.260 masl.
Day 2: Vist to Belén. Trekking to the cruz de Tabla-tablane and to Pachama Village. Visit to Socoroma. PM arrival to Putre at 3.500 masl.
Day 3 : Visit to Surire salt flat crossing the Las vicuñas national Reserve. We can contemplate herds of vicuñas, llamas, alpacas. Vizcachas, guallatas (andean geese) and much more wild life. Box lunch at Polloquere hotsprings and trekking arround the saltflat.
Day 4: we move to the Lauca National Park, declared world reserve of the biosphere by the UNESCO due to the biodiversity and the fragility of the altitude ecosystem with an spectacular view of the Payachatas with its more than 6.000 meters. We visit Parinacota ceremonial village and trek to the Cota-cotani lagoons. In the afternoon we return to Arica.
